Weekend Program - Friday Evening and Saturday

David Shaffer is a certified facilitator and trainer for PREPARE/ENRICH, which is the leading relationship inventory and skill-building program used nationally and internationally. It is built on a solid research foundation and significantly improves a couple's relationship. Using a comprehensive relationship inventory, PREPARE/ENRICH is custom tailored to a couple's relationship and provides couple exercises to build their relationship skills.

The PREPARE/ENRICH assessment is a complementary personal guide alongside the practical application of God's Word, which provides the foundation for each of the program's sessions taught by David. This program is ideal for couples at all stages—from the engaged to the seasoned married husband and wife.

Before the Live Program

While this program is normally taught as a weekend intensive, couples are required to take the online assessment (requiring about 45 minutes each) the week before the live program. This allows for their confidential, customized couple's report to be prepared and sealed for their review during the program.

The costs for this program are extremely affordable—shared by the host church, chapel, or group; and the participants. The host's costs for this program include a $350 booking fee and reimbursement of minimal travel costs (to be discussed ahead of booking). The host also manages facilities and publicity and usually will provide drinks, snacks, and a simple Saturday lunch for the attendees. The host assures that there will be at least fifteen participating couples.

We are also happy to host the PREPARE/ENRICH program at our retreat center (up to 20 people overnight and up to 80 for day only). The booking fee of $350 is required, but all travel costs for our team are $0. The retreat center fees apply (see "Retreat Center"), and your group manages the details—itinerary (we will tell you what we need as far as teaching session slots for the program selected), meals, snacks, etc.

The attendees' total cost for this program per couple is $85 ($35 directly to PREPARE/ENRICH, paid online for their assessment; and $50 to go to Son Shine Ministries). The $50 is collected by the host church and paid collectively (mindful of the fifteen couples minimum if fewer actually participate).
